Of the four online dating sites we tested in-depth, OKCupid is the only one to base its matching algorithms off such robust parameters.
Good messages were respectful, asked something about our profile, and displayed a sincere interest in getting to know us better.
Unfortunately, even on the best free dating site, OKCupid, we only received “good” messages 19 percent of the time.
That’s not great when you consider the 70-plus results OKCupid served up for us, but it was better than any other site we looked at.
We also received the highest percentage of messages we rated “good.” While all of OKCupid’s main features — messaging, viewing profiles, answering questions — are free, there is a paid option for those looking to get a little more out of their search.
